Annual brunch “helpful and hopeful”

"Wonderful" - "Helpful and hopeful" -- "Great energy" -- those were just a few assessments from supporters like you, and from women candidates, after our 7th annual Coffee with Carol's List earlier this month.

We handed over the mic to our "Three under 35: New women leaders in Montana" and it was FIRE.

  • Rep. Barbara Bessette, Carol's List targeted candidate in 2018, and one of the first urban Native American women elected to the Montana Legislature, told women in the crowd to ignore the "hate talk" in their heads.

  • Alice Buckley, first-time candidate for Bozeman's university-area house district, told us she wants to be in the room when the Legislature is making decisions about *her* body -- and the bodies of all of us who don't see ourselves in the makeup of the Legislature.

  • Jasmine Taylor, first-time candidate for Great Falls's House District 22, told us that when she wavered after hearing that a couple of guys decided to primary her, Carol's List was there to encourage her to run.

Thank you to all of you who sponsored this event (particularly our statewide women candidates including Kathleen Williams, Whitney Williams, Kimberly Dudik, and Melissa Romano), and thank you to The Heath in Helena for offering us a beautiful event space. And thank you to our volunteers, who made this inspiring morning happen!

And to all of you who donated at the door, or made a gift online, or sent a check afterwards: Thank you! You are helping us elevate Montana women, and helping us help them win.
